Elese Draheim

Elese works at the Queensland Tissue Bank, in Brisbane, Australia, where she began her career in Tissue Banking in 2019. The Queensland Tissue Bank is the largest and most diverse tissue bank in Australia. It retrieves eye, skin, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular tissue. Her current position involves all aspects of tissue donation ranging from donor screening, to consent conversations, tissue recovery and graft production. Prior to her career in tissue banking, Elese worked with the Queensland Ambulance Service and as a histopathology scientist. Outside of work, she can be found spending time with her partner and their three children. Elese represents EBAANZ on the Vision 2020 Australia Global Working Group and joined the GAEBA Executive in 2023 after representing GAEBA and EBAANZ at the COESCA-OSK Conference in Mombasa.
